Pallada Asset Management derives its name from
the Greek goddess of wisdom and fair competition, Athena-Pallada. The Moscow-based
investment management firm is licensed by the Russian Federal Securities
Commission (RFSC) (License No. 21-000-1-00006, 8
August 1996) to manage unit investment funds. In addition, Pallada offers pension fund
advisory services for non-state pension funds and trust management. Pallada was among the
first companies in Russia to offer domestic unit investment funds.
Pallada currently offers two open-end unit investment funds. Pallada Government Securities invests in short-term Russian government and regional/municipal fixed-income securities, while Pallada Corporativniy invests in Russian equities.
In addition to the unit investment funds it manages, Pallada was selected to manage a portion of the Russian Compensation Fund for Defrauded Investors.
Ms. Elizabeth Hebert heads Pallada. Ms. Hebert was previously portfolio manager of Flemings Russia Fund, which, under her management, consistently outperformed the market. Ms. Hebert has been active in the Russian market since 1990. She is a graduate of Columbia University (M.A., International Affairs) and Boston College. Ms. Hebert is a member of IMRO and is a Certified Unit Investment Fund Manager (RFSC).
Pallada employs 20 people in Moscow and has one of the Russian market's most experienced asset management teams. Many of Pallada's employees previously worked together at Flemings Russia.
Pallada is a State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) company. SSgA is the Boston-based investment management firm with over $500 billion in assets under management worldwide.
